History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. After a long history of fighting, Surina and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: She hates drow. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She is always in debt, since she spends her money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: Her necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
