Description: This slender woman stands about 4'8". She prefers to wear flannel. She has done her best to style her white hair to look like a famous performer. She wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. She is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. She likes to tell stories.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. Emeny was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Emeny decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and a deep hatred of gnolls

Description: This woman is very fat, and wears a suit in poor condition. It has not been laundered in sometime and has been worn in activities one would not normally wear a suit during. Her white hair is lengthy and is close to two feet long. Her green eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, she has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Avice was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and meet up once more with her childhood friend

Description: An older man who is wearing colorful clothing, dressed as a Mercenary, he is not a threatening figure. He has styled his chestnut hair well, parting it to the right. His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.

Personality: He is a Mercenary first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. The war was a terrible time for him, and Alston does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He tends to his Mercenary job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and further expansion of business

Personality: She likes to make people angry or surprised. On top of that she is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to her employer will always come first she doesn't like to hit women.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has dedicated herself to building a better village for her children.

Motivation: Wants her loneliness to end; and she has a crush on the local bellfounder
