History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: Gifted from a young age, Howard studied abroad. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Astaro was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She tends to her Fortune-teller job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor.
