Description: She is a pot bellied eastern woman with a big hulking figure and broad shoulders. She wears a simple burlap shirt and baggy pants. She conceals her warhammer with her veritable burlap sack of a shirt. Her silver hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. Her brown eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: She has always had a great fascination with Dwarven culture. Flattery will make her almost putty in your hands.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many dire rats want her driven away.

Description: An older man who wears skinny pants and wears a brown and green robe with the hood down, he is not a threatening figure. His head has been shaved. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Wymar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Wymar fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter.

Description: 6'3" and lanky with angular features, he is an attractive figure. He wears a robe, a symbol of magic around his neck, and a shortbow on his belt. He wears a deerstalker hat to cover his moderate length black crest. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. His first spouse was a Server, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and regain custody of his son

Description: He wears rags and sports a simple walking cane. His attire stands in sharp contrast to his hand crossbow, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a rose on it. His crest is green and very short. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his gold eyes.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. A freak accident while working with his Stableman father left him crippled. During his travels, Shamash and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Shamash discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Shamash fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and obtaining odd cultural dwarven artifacts is his passion

Personality: She will rave to anyone who will listen. She would rather hide behind her crafts than deal with other people.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A gifted student she started as a Roofer, but she got bored and became a Knight. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Knight.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and sabotage a competitor
