History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Elves in Vaina's homeland. Vaina decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

After coming to the age of reason, Hadwisa took it upon herself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Right-Handed was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Right-Handed decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Bookbinder. She now owns her own business.
