History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: A powerful wizard made her what she is. In her 19th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She was granted martial powers by her dying sister.
