Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Pearl embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She has a small toy that she constantly fidgets with.

History: Born in the west to a Bather, Pearl learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Bather for hire.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job.

History: Gifted from a young age, Sun studied abroad. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Expand his business; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
