Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Hatae was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Hatae's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Tanner profession.

History: He was born in the east. A freak accident while working with his Tanner mother left him crippled. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Expand his business; and to be a tanner again

Description: What flesh remains visible is marred by burns. She likes to wear ponchos typically of a light grey in addition to tight pants. Her hair is silver and very short. Her fierce gray eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: She believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. She has a small toy that she constantly fidgets with.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: To end her boredom; and money/treasure

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and her religion dominates her actions
