She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: She is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends she is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy herself. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Through the years after Volen was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Volen's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Silvo grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tabaxi companion (his 'brother'). He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Tabaxi artifacts is his passion; and he's looking for his big break

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
