History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the west. Through the years after Gillyd was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Gillyd's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Gillyd and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Many illithids want her driven away; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it

To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Riardon. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
