Because her father participated in the massacre of their homeland, goblins burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying north to reunite her family. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born into a rich family. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Nuraval alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: Gormogord was born the youngest of three triplets. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

Her red hair is kept up in a ponytail inside a deerstalker hat. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Susannah embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. She disdains her fellow westerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In her 14th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Susannah alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
