History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. In her youth she was a Sailor, and wanted to be a champion fighter when she grew up. She was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives she lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. She saw the brutality and swore off her fighting aspirations, taking her younger sister on her back after seeing her parents die, and fled the country. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Sailor. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
