Through the years after Puyet was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Puyet's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: The child of a Engraver, who enjoyed hunting, Therai was taken on many hunting expeditions. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
