History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Some 2 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Mastema never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: She swings through moods quickly. One moment she is cool and collected, the next she is carried away by passions. Her actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as she answers to a power that mortal women fail to acknowledge.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Shipwright arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Servant they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Shipwright, and she later adopted a second daughter.

History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her mother. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. His first spouse was a Cook, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother
