Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Burgell was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: Verin was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She became a Detective soon after.

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs.

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average woman, she is not imposing. She dresses in green turtlenecks beneath a brown coat with white slacks. She keeps her silver hair in a pixie cut. Her eyes are likewise gold. Her teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Astaro's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She uses her nature as a weapon; she likes to lead opponents to think her in distress.

History: Astaro hails from a village terrorized by goblins. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Many goblins want her driven away.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She became a Soapmaker soon after.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and she is unsatisfied with her job
