History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her father. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. A freak accident while working with her Map Maker mother left her crippled. After a long history of fighting, Menny and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Through the years after Ekemon was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Ekemon's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Servant for hire.
