History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. In her 14th year, her parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Mardred alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.
