History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the south were limited. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Mord was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 12th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. She will do just about anything if she becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this she is easily convinced.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and she would like to get married and retire

Personality: He is fixated on the number 5. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. The war was a terrible time for him, and Thorpe does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. When Thorpe reached his early adolescence his Halfling father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
