History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

History: Gale was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. She has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and balancing her hectic life and new marshal responsibilities is difficult

Personality: Simon speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. Simon is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). After a long history of fighting, Simon and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Oskar hails from a village terrorized by giants. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, giants burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying south to reunite his family. He became a Shoemaker soon after.
