History: Criella was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Criella was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Tanner for the past few years.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and she is unsatisfied with her job

History: Abalaba lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She has never given up on her writing dream.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
