History: Xappan was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Expert, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Expert in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature flail.

Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She now mingles about in high society.

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. Through the years after Anne was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Anne's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
