History: Faran was born with his mother's beautiful face. He found a children's book about a Halfling Ranger who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: She hates Tieflings with a passion. As such she is filled with self loathing. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. When Kali reached her early adolescence her Tiefling father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: He was raised in a mountains tribe. He worked as a nervous Guard and found it very stressful. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Ar-Beka and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Arannis grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Arannis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Arannis. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it
