History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Through the years after Gilbert was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Gilbert's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: She is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends she is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy herself. She lacks restraint and is impulsive. She jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She found a children's book about a Gnome Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
