History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. She was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying north to reunite her family. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.
