Description: What flesh remains visible is marred by burns. He wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. His white hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His fierce amber eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. Dain enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Description: This man is bedraggled and starved. He is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. His red hair is thinning but still full. He wears a mask on his face.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Oriax took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up monstrous two handed axe and armor he uses now. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Oriax fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Description: She is a paragon of her species. She is larger and stronger than most Gnomes. Her skin is light but she possesses many red ritualistic tattoos. She tends to wear a tan poncho over her likewise colored trousers and shirt. She has slicked back white hair. She has a dull look in her green eyes.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Ella will drive conversation. She also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Ella grew up listening to her father's many stories. Ella abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and she's in love

Description: She is an average looking western female in her early mid-life. She is generally shirtless and showing off her tattooed chest. Her brown hair is singed and shortened. Her thin eyebrows rest above her beady gray eyes.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: Born in the west to a Fisher, Millicent learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: To clean up the streets; and sabotage a competitor

Description: A plain young-adult woman, she wears a tattered pair of loose blue pants, a matching torn shirt, and a visible pair of similar condition same color briefs. Her blonde hair has been sun bleached extensively. She has a dull look in her violet eyes.

Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Layabout but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Layabout. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and she is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally
