History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Brottor liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
