History: She was raised in a desert tribe. Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Katherine was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared.
