History: The child of a Cartwright, who enjoyed hunting, Carlin was taken on many hunting expeditions. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Carlin took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up longsword and armor she uses now. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

The war was a terrible time for her, and Ielenia does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her father was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and to end his boredom

Personality: She is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks her mind. She has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a woman enough she will sell her own mother. Money is her most trusted friend.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
