Personality: She considers herself a woman of culture and sophistication. She likes a good challenge to her wits. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: She was born into a rich family. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Gardain was born on a far western plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Engraver. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and he seems to be bored by most things
