History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Half-Elven activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Half-Elven doctor. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Baelitae will drive conversation. She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She moved out south to avoid the crime she committed. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Personality: Halimath is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Halimath was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature scythe.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he desires power and/or immortality

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. She disdains her fellow westerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs
