History: Surina hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. At a young age her father died while driving off some gnolls. Her mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in scimitar use. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Surina was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Andraste was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Andraste decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
