He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: Crampernap hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
