History: Born in the south to a Masseuse, Arara learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Arara alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by goblins. Arara was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the goblins.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Mugrunden was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
