History: Born in the east to a Ruler, Oriff learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Oriff was orphaned to a temple shortly after her birth. She was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above herself and to hold her god always in her heart. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Ruler for the past few years.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. Modean was born on a far eastern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Shipwright. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Lamlis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.
