Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Meriele's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She refers to her adoptive mother for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Born in the north her family was never financially stable. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and wants to raise her children well

Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Layabout. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He wants revenge against goblins; and many goblins want him driven away

Personality: She is a Mercenary first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove her into the Mercenary business.

History: She was raised in a mountains tribe. Vanchu was born on a far western mountains where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Mercenary. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
