He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Georgina was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was granted arcane powers by her dying sister.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister; and marry her sister to traveling adventurers

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Vondal took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up mace and armor he uses now. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever.
