Personality: He is cool and collected. He likes to make quips and puns whenever he does anything. He also makes a point to compliment his superiors and flatter them. A friendly and beautiful Half-Elf, he is rarely seen without a few beauties around his arms. Though a playboy in all rights, he is no lame duck.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Stableman arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Bernard grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bernard. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Bernard was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Her teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: She likes to make people angry or surprised. She lacks restraint and is impulsive. She jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: When she was but 7 years old her parents immigrated from the south. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Helja alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Some 5 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Helja never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it; and to prove her worth to the world

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His first spouse was a Miner, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
