History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Eva was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out.

History: Spear hails from a village terrorized by giants. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, giants burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying west to reunite his family. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Spear was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

Motivation: A deep hatred of giants; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it
