Description: An older woman who wears brown trousers with blue and tan striped suspenders. She wears various colorful collared shirts, she is not a threatening figure. Her blonde hair is unkempt and raggedy. She wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into her face.

Personality: She is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends she is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy herself. Jarana is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her sisters into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: A powerful slaver made her what she is. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Layabout they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Interpreter, and she later adopted a second daughter.
