History: Lavinia was born with her mother's beautiful face. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Locksmith but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was born in a small island village. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. She lacks moral complications. She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her childhood dream was to be a Bather, but she was a colossal failure. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Menny was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.
