Because they were valued, her mother taught her to defend herself. When her mother died while fighting brigands, the young Anastrianna began to lead the lost caravan. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Adventurer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for her; and she doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. In her 17th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Jaxi fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
