Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Lavinia embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She lacks moral complications. She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Lavinia was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Personality: She is fixated on the number 5. She counts her steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. She seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. She lacks restraint and is impulsive. She jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. A freak accident while working with her Unemployed mother left her crippled. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature crossbow.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
