Description: With black face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he wears tan robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a nunchaku, but if one is not available he will default to his hand crossbow. He has done his best to style his red hair to look like a famous performer. His amber eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He acts crazy and hedonistic. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has never given up on his music dream.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Description: This late middle aged man wears a tan shirt, with a black mid length shorts with black tights and flats, usually wearing a coat over them and is in decent physical shape. His hair is short and white. His half smiles and hazel eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and he desires power and/or immortality

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. A fanatic, her devotion to her small selection of gods is unquestionable. She claims to be doing their will and will base all her actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: The child of a Server, who enjoyed hunting, Merla was taken on many hunting expeditions. While she appears to be a normal Halfling, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs

Description: A man of a pale complexion, he wears a white vest with golden trim over his white shirt. His tan leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and his white boots flare out at the collars. He keeps his long red hair kept up in a rat tail. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: Purban lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the south were limited. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and an old rival family wants him found

Personality: Enialis is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. The war was a terrible time for him, and Enialis does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He's in love; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
