Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Veloptima embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her poetry with anyone who is interested.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. After a long history of fighting, Veloptima and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tiefling companion (his 'brother'). When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he's looking for his big break

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was raised in a forest tribe. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance.
