History: Herleva lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Herleva grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Herleva. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and he is greedy

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: She can speak with the recently deceased. She always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove her into the Cartwright business.

History: When she was but 3 years old her parents immigrated from the west. After coming to the age of reason, Felosial took it upon herself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

Personality: He is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, he's a very lovable idiot. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: He comes from a rich western family. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and he has passion for adventuring and risk
