Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Umpen was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He now owns his own business.

History: Leaf lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Leaf abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains.
