Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Ermina's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. At a young age her father died while driving off some dire rats. Her mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in scythe use. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and she possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to dire rats.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it.

Description: His skin has the orange glow of too much sun. He wears a tan shirt, with a white mid length shorts with white tights and flats, usually wearing a coat over them. His blonde hair is matted, messy, and big. His eyes are likewise blue.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting dire rats, the young Oppleby began to lead the lost caravan. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Description: This eastern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He likes to wear ponchos typically of a light tan in addition to tight pants. His long golden hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. His hazel eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. Gimble is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Gimble was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Armorer responsibilities is difficult; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Gnomish activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Gnomish doctor. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he feels threatened by others
