History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Through the years after Valorean was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Valorean's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
