History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Randal was born on a far southern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Engraver. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
