History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Personality: She hates dire rats. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. Her actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as she answers to a power that mortal women fail to acknowledge.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. She married young, but lost her spouse to dire rats. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Seamstress but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Gildmak lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Seamstress. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 13 years.
